Donald Trump’s Attorney Says It’s Unfair That January 6th Committee Isn’t Presenting “Trump’s Side”

Donald Trump doesn’t seem to be too happy about the work the House Select Committee — or, as he calls it, the “Unselect Committee” is doing in their January 6th Hearings. He’s been complaining about the hearings on his social media, and now an attorney connected to the plot is also speaking out, saying she doesn’t think it’s fair that the January 6th Committee isn’t telling Trump’s side of the story.

It’s no secret that Trump is upset about the hearings. He’s “truthing” about it on his social site, declaring the whole thing a “with hunt” and a “disgrace to America.”

The hearings are not a trial, so there’s no defense or cross-examination. Their purpose is to get the information out to the world, and to demonstrate that tehre’s enough evidence for the Justice Department to act — at which point, of course, there would be a process leading to a trial and opportunity for defense.

Still, Christina Bobb thinks it’s unfair that the Select Committee isn’t presenting evidence in Trump’s favor, whatever that might be.

Donald Trump has had many of his staffers, friends, family, and colleagues that have been hauled before this Comittee, subpoenaed, and forced to testify, without, really without having the same voice that the American public has. I myself went and testified, and they put gag orders on us…They’re gagging President Trump’s side, but doing everything they can to put their witnesses front and center.

Bobb was brought into the investigation, the Times of San Diego reports, because she was involved in efforts to draft an executive order that would have demanded federal agencies seize voting machines in order to collect “evidence.”
