Early in her career, Taylor Swift did not publicly speak about her political beliefs. Over the past five years, though, she has become more outspoken. She supported Phil Bredesen during his 2018 Senate race and Joe Biden for president in 2020.
Considering his massive popularity, Conservatives are terrified of Swift endorsing Biden again this year. Variety's Ramin Setoodah, who is writing a new book about The Apprentice, asked Trump about the musician and he had kind words.
"I think she’s beautiful — very beautiful! I find her very beautiful. I think she’s liberal. She probably doesn’t like Trump. I hear she’s very talented,” Trump told Setoodeh for his book, "Apprentice in Wonderland." “I think she’s very beautiful, actually — unusually beautiful!”
Trump then asked, "She is liberal, or is that just an act? She’s legitimately liberal? It’s not an act? It surprises me that a country star can be successful being liberal."
Unfortunately for Trump, Swift has spoken out about Trump before and she sure does hate him. She wrote on Twitter in response to Donald Trump's words during the George Floyd protests in 2020:
"After stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism your entire presidency, you have the nerve to feign moral superiority before threatening violence? ‘When the looting starts the shooting starts’??? We will vote you out in November, Donald Trump."
