Donald Trump Sends Out All-Caps Tweetfit From Walter Reed, Begging For Votes

President Donald Trump, from his suite of rooms at Walter Reed National Military Medical Hospital, sent out over a dozen tweets over a short time Monday morning. The tweets each ended the same way — a plea for votes.

Over a dozen tweets with identical format and similar content went out from the president’s account Monday morning, Each listed an item Trump lists among his accomplishments or policies (such as “pro-life” and “law & order”) followed by the word “vote,” all in caps and all exclamatory.

It’s not unheard of for Trump to send short, excited tweets, many tweets in a short time, all caps missives, or tweets touting President Obama’s accomplishments as his own (one tweet promised to protect pre-existing conditions — something Obama’s Affordable Care Act already does, and Trump has attacked in courts) but the uniformity of the format, over so many tweets, did cause some to question whether Trump was really sending the messages himself, or a staffer was doing it in his name.

Before and after the string of ‘VOTE!” tweets, Trump did throw in a few out of format, but with the same theme. He claimed that Governor Ralph Northam of Virginia wants to “obliterate the second amendment” and sent out a reminder that Monday is the last day to register to vote in several states, along with a link to his campaign site.

On Sunday, the president’s medical team predicted that he might be ready to leave the hospital and return to the White House on Monday.
