Alabama is a very conservative state and is often described by pundits as being ruby red. Roy Moore’s controversy laden 2017 senatorial run ended up being a test for just how red the state could be. Democrat Doug Jones ended up eeking out a tight victory an winning one of the country’s 100 senate seats.

With Jones up for reelection in 2020, Moore has once again surfaced hoping to win the nomination. After bragging about how well he could potentially do in the race, the former Judge was ridiculed by Donald Trump Jr.
The situation began with a quote by Moore’s potential GOP primary opponent, Bradley Byrne. Byrne told reporters, “I welcome [Judge Moore] to the race. I think people are very concerned that we Republicans lost a U.S. Senate seat because he was our nominee in 2017, and we don’t need to do that again.”

An irate Moore was quick to respond to Byrne’s comments. “What is Bradley so worried about,” the judge asked. “He knows that if I run I will beat Doug Jones.”

Moore, who was accused of sexual misconduct with under-aged girls was widely mocked on Twitter. None of the rebukes, however, was stronger than the one that came from Donald Trump Jr.
“You mean like last time,” the president’s son asked. “You’re literally the only candidate who could lose a GOP seat in pro-Trump, pro-USA ALABAMA. Running for office should never become a business model. If you actually care about #MAGA more than your own ego, it’s time to ride off into the sunset, Judge.”
