There has been plenty of talk about drugs this election season. Prior to his first debate with Joe Biden, Donald Trump demanded that the former vice president take a drug test for Adderall. Of course, Trump himself has been accused of abusing Adderall. And now the president has been taking steroids to treat his COVID-19 case. Dexamathasone, the drug Trump is taking, can cause mania, paranoia and psychosis. When asked about the president’s current state of mind, his son Donald Trump Jr. decided to accuse Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi of substance abuse.
Trump Jr. made the comments during Wednesday morning’s episode of Fox and Friends. The hosts asked the president’s son about Pelosi reportedly saying that the drugs Trump is taking are affecting his decision making.
On a Democratic call, reacting to the President abruptly breaking off stimulus talks, Speaker Pelosi questioned whether Trump taking a steroid was impacting his thinking, according to two people on the call.

Donald Trump Jr. responded:
“Nancy has her own substance issues according to the press and according to the media. I won’t get into that. It’s obviously nonsense. The reality is this: Nancy Pelosi was trying to stack literally, probably a trillion dollars of excess nonsense to bailout Democrat cities, to push for cashless bail, to get illegal immigrants stimulus checks as part of that package while the American taxpayer gets to foot the bill for her radical agenda.”
