Donald Trump is Not Going to Be Happy About the DNC's Huge Television Rating

The ratings numbers from night one of the DNC were significantly bigger than those of the RNC that took place a month ago.

Donald Trump has long been completely obsessed with television ratings. He often boasts about how important his show, The Apprentice was because of the amount of people who watched it. And when he wants to criticize a news anchor who says something critical about him, he often references how many people watch their show.

The former President will not be happy about the ratings from the first night of the Democratic National Convention as they were significantly better than those of the Republican National Convention. Analyst Michael Mulvihill tweeted on Tuesday:

"Overnight ratings for Night One of the conventions. Seven networks combined: DNC - 11.4 (10p-12:15a) - RNC - 9.4 (10-11p) - Difference: 21%"

Mulvihill also noted, "That DNC lead will likely narrow in the final national viewership and could even be erased, though that seems unlikely. The overnights reflect 44 major metro areas."

While the analyst might be right that the biggest night for Dems could be the first, that won't necessarily be the case. The party has some significant speakers for the remaining nights of the conventions with the Obama's on Tuesday, Bill Clinton and Tim Walz on Wednesday and Harris on Thursday.
