Donald Trump Is Angry, Miserable, and Misses Being President
Former President Donald Trump is angry, miserable, and misses being the commander in chief, several people close to him have revealed to Politico, implying that his personal Elba, Mar-a-Lago, is not a fun place to be right now.
Apparently, the 74-year-old Florida resident gets really upset when people ask if he is serious about mounting a third run for the White House in 2024. His mood is also quite volatile, they added, due to the significant legal peril he, his businesses, his family, and his former associates – like Allen Weisselberg, the Trump Organization’s Chief Financial Officer – are facing in the Southern District of New York.
“There’s definitely a cloud of nerves in the air,” one adviser told Politico’s Playbook. “I think the Weisselberg involvement and the wild card of that makes the particular situation more real, because there’s no sort of fluff and made-up fictional circumstances around the guy. … The fact that they’re dealing with a numbers guy who just has plain details makes people more nervous. This is not a MICHAEL COHEN situation.”
Trump insists that the ongoing investigations led by Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance and New York Attorney General Letitia James are a “witch hunt.”
Trump reportedly muses and dwells over hypothetical 2024 presidential election polls.
“Interesting that today a poll came out indicating I’m far in the lead for the Republican Presidential Primary and the General Election in 2024,” Trump said on Tuesday in response to a survey that showed him leading the field of potential contenders for the GOP nomination.
Trump also hates not being president, those close to him added.
“He’s missing being president terribly,” they said.
