Donald Trump Denies Wanting Affair With Stormy Daniels; Gloats Over Court Ruling

In a win for Donald Trump, a federal Appeals court has refused to hear Stormy Daniels’ appeal of her defamation case against him. On Monday he denied ever having an affair with her, insisting he would never have even wanted to, and boasted that she now owes him $300k.

According to CNBC, the ruling came on Friday, with the court refusing to hear Daniels’ bid to overturn a ruling that would cost her $300k in attorney and court fee reimbursements, payable to Trump, initially ordered after her defamation suit failed, with the court refusing to affirm that Trump had done her harm by calling her story of the sexual encounter and the threat she says she received about releasing it, all lies.
Daniels responded in a tweet, declaring, “I will go to jail before I pay a penny.”
It took Trump a bit longer to make a public statement, but when he did, through his spokesperson and Twitter proxy Liz Harrington, it was to boast that he’s owed $300k, and to insist that not only did he never have an affair with her, but that he would never have wanted to.
NEW!
President Donald J. Trump:
“The 9th Circuit just issued a final ruling in the Stephanie Clifford (aka Stormy Daniels) frivolous lawsuit case against me brought by her disgraced lawyer, Michael Avenatti, upholding the lower court ruling that she owes me nearly $300,000 in.. pic.twitter.com/BPDpdkWEAT

“I never had an affair with Stormy Daniels, nor would I ever have wanted to.”
He also claimed the ruling as a “complete victory and vindication,” though nothing in the ruling disproves Daniels’ claims.
Daniels and the attorney who went to prison for paying her off on Trump’s behalf, Michael Cohen, have struck up a friendship since the latter left Trump’s employ. The two mocked Trump’s statement, with Cohen pointing out that Trump’s statement misstated the facts of the lawsuit — “absolutely nothing to do with the well established fact that he did have an affair” — and Daniels responding to say that it wasn’t really an affair, so much as Trump cornering her and pressing a sexual encounter as she exited a bathroom.
Woah! I never said it was an affair. I have said over and over that he CORNERED ME coming out of a bathroom. Well…I guess to him, that IS an affair. Seems to be his pattern.
