Donald Trump Claims That Project 2025 People Are 'Seriously Extreme'

During a Saturday rally in Michigan, Donald Trump attempted to distance himself from the founders of Project 2025, referring to them as extremists.

Project 2025 was created by the Heritage Foundation, an important group on Republican politics.  The policies within the document are on the extreme and the project has faced severe criticism since it was introduced. While several people who have worked with him in the past are connected to Project 2025, Donald Trump believes it to be a political loser and he has tried to distance himself from it.

During his Michigan rally, Trump dubiously claimed, "I'm a person with great common sense; I'm not an extremist at all." He then continued:

"Like some on the right, the severe right, came up with this Project 2025 and I don't even know - some of them I know who they are - but they are very, very conservative. Just like you have, they are sort of the opposite of the radical left. You have the radical left and you have the radical right."

Trump continued to hammer the Project, saying, "They are extreme. They are seriously extreme, but I don't know anything about it. I don't want to know anything about it. But what they do is misinformation and disinformation."
