Donald Trump Burned Over Maskless Pizza Pitstop

President Donald Trump on Thursday had his motorcade stop for pizza at Arcaro and Genell Takeaway Kitchen in Old Forge, Pennsylvania, after delivering disparaging remarks about Joe Biden, the Democratic presidential nominee.

Biden, a native of neighboring Scranton, “spent the last half century in Washington selling out our country and ripping off our jobs,” Trump said at Mariotti Building Products, a local lumber yard.

Having clearly worked up an appetite, Trump placed the order all by himself and could not wait to show the pizza off, the Bucks County Courier Times reported.

After a brief glance at his square pie, a signature bake of the restaurant, a reporter asked Trump why he decided to drop by.

“Because they have great pizza,” Trump beamed. “Supposedly they have the best pizza, we’ll let you know about it in a half hour.”

Trump, 74, was absolutely giddy.

As a native New Yorker, Trump should know how to treat a pizza. Does he?

Twitter was also quick to point out that Trump was not wearing a mask, on a day when Pennsylvania saw 791 new COVID-19 cases and 15 additional deaths due to the pandemic.

Ironically, at his rally, Trump encouraged his supporters to “do the masks,” telling them, “I mean, it’s not gonna hurt. Do ’em. Do ’em.”

But Trump only mentioned the pandemic in passing, according to the York Daily Record.

“By the way, the stock market just hit a new high,” Trump said. “And don’t forget, we’ve been going through this horrible plague from China. It just hit a new high. So think of that. It’s incredible.”

He continued: “Before the China virus invaded our shores, we built the greatest economy in history, nothing even close.”

Trump: always the victim.

“In three years, and what we’ve done in just this short period of time, there’s been no administration that’s accomplished what we’ve accomplished,” Trump growled, “and that’s despite pandemics and despite all of the opposition and all of the witch hunts, the phony witch hunts.”

Pennsylvania, with its 20 Electoral College votes, is a must-win state for Trump in his bid for reelection. He eked out a narrow victory over Democrat Hillary Clinton in the Keystone State in 2016, but recent polling shows him trailing Biden by ~six points.
