When Donald Trump doesn’t get his way he attempts to find legal loopholes that can be exploited to turn a verdict in his favor.
The Ninth Circuit Court overturned his travel bans and a Mexican judge was recently scheduled to hear a high-profile Dreamer case.
Trump believes judges are being chosen because of their outright attempts to block his efforts — despite the fact that those justices are randomly assigned.
So what does the President of the United States plan to do about it? Trump said he is “absolutely” considering proposals to “break up” the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
With two executive orders already blocked, Trump sat down with the Washington Examiner to explain his thought process.
“There are many people that want to break up the 9th Circuit. It’s outrageous. Everybody immediately runs to the 9th Circuit. And we have a big country. We have lots of other locations. But they immediately run to the 9th Circuit. Because they know that’s like, semi-automatic.”
The comments come the day after U.S. District Judge William Orrick temporarily blocked the president’s order to withhold funds from so-called “sanctuary” cities who are refusing to comply with federal immigration orders.
Oddly, Orrick does not serve on the Ninth Circuit.
Welcome to the Red State…
