Following his arrest on 7 charges, former Trump adviser, Roger Stone, was given a gag order. He almost immediately appeared to violate this order to complain about his treatment via Instagram. Judge Amy Berman-Jackson was not pleased and warned Stone to not let it happen again.
In a preview of his opening statement, Michael Cohen said Trump had discussed Wikileaks with Roger Stone. This was too much for Stone, who appears to have again violated his gag order to comment on the case.
Stone responded succinctly. He sent a text message to Buzzfeed News that read, “”Mr. Cohen’s statement is not true.”
According to Buzzfeed, “A spokesperson for the special counsel’s office declined to comment on whether they believe Stone’s statement complies with the judge’s order.”
