A vote on Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the Supreme Court is expected before the end of September, but Democrats feel as though the entire process is being rushed along without proper time to fully vet President Trumps SCOTUS pick.

Now, there appears to be somewhat of a bombshell story developing in regards to Kavanaugh.  Today it was reported that California Senator Dianne Feinstein has turned over a letter to the FBI, concerning Trump’s Supreme Court Nominee.  The letter, which is being highly guarded by Feinstein and other Democrats, is said to be related to an incident that took place between Kavanaugh and a woman he went to high school with.

Additionally, it is being reported that Attorney Debra Katz is representing the woman who is the subject of this email.  Katz is a well known attorney for Katz, Marshall & Banks, LLP, a firm that has represented several women as part of the #metoo movement.

Katz refers to herself as a “Civil rights lawyer” for “Women’s rights and social justice”.

While very little is known as far as what the allegations in the letter are, if it even includes allegations at all, on the surface this has to make you wonder why a Women’s rights / #MeToo movement attorney would be representing a woman who appears to be making accusations against Brett Kavanaugh.

The letter which Feinstein turned over to the FBI, was passed along to her by Calif. Rep. Anna Eshoo (D), and both members of Congress are remaining tight lipped about what it contains.

“I have received information from an individual concerning the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. That individual strongly requested confidentiality, declined to come forward or press the matter further,” Feinstein explained. “I have honored that decision. I have, however, referred the matter to federal investigative authorities.”

Right now it’s too early to make any solid assumptions, but this appears as though it could be yet another bump in the road for one of the more controversial Supreme Court Nominees in recent history.
