Delusional Trump Tells MAGA Crowd Buttigieg, Klobuchar Should Be Impeached Over Biden Endorsements

Prior to today’s Super Tuesday contests, Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minnesota) and former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg dropped their bids for the Democratic nomination for president, and endorsed former Vice President Joe Biden.

There is nothing unusual about this; in fact, it happens on both sides of the aisle during nominating contests…but try telling that to President Donald Trump.

Clearly still sore over his own impeachment for inappropriate dealings with the leader of Ukraine, Trump screamed at his campaign rally crowd on Monday night:

“Sounds like they made a deal, ya know? Quid pro quo! They made a deal! Impeach them! They should be impeached! They should be impeached! Quid pro quo!”

This is, of course, ridiculous on its face. Nobody can be impeached for endorsing a candidate for President, and last I checked, Buttigieg doesn’t even hold elected office right now. So, there’s nowhere to impeach him from, even if there was something shady going on.

This is not about whether or not Klobuchar, Buttigieg, or anyone else did anything wrong (they didn’t). This is about two things: Trump’s ego, and his fear of facing off against Joe Biden in November.

Trump will go into this contest, regardless of who his challenger is, amid a cloud of scandal. He will be fresh off an impeachment acquittal that have been an indictment, and he will be battling tumbling stock markets due to his abysmal handling of the coronavirus outbreak.

The last four years are nothing less than a treasure trove of lies, chaos, cruelty, incompetence, and scandal from Donald Trump’s White House. Many Americans just want some sense of normalcy again, regardless of political affiliation. There’s no doubt that former Vice President Joe Biden could deliver that. Anyone remaining in the Democratic field could.
