Deja Vu: People Are Losing It Over V.P. Kamala Harris’ Suit Color

Remember when Republicans had a fit over President Barack Obama’s tan suit? Well, they’re back at it. This time the target is Vice President Kamala Harris, and the right can’t believe the absolute nerve of her daring to (note check) wear a brown suit to the State of the Union?

WASHINGTON, DC – MARCH 01: Vice President Harris and Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) are seen prior to US President Joe Biden giving his State of the Union address during a joint session of Congress at the U.S. Capitol on March 01, 2022 in Washington, DC. During his first State of the Union address, Biden spoke on his administration’s efforts to lead a global response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, work to curb inflation, and bring the country out of the COVID-19 pandemic. That’s right — Harris is being attacked by people who, for some unfathomable reason, are just really upset by the color brown.

Jenna Ellis, the attorney who faced sanctions for misusing the court system to push a false narrative of election fraud, is one of them.

Yes, that’s her verified Twitter account, she’s a public figure, and somehow thought dumping on the Vice President of the United States for wearing brown would be appropriate.

Some people are complaining that Harris’ suit was too close to the color of her chair, or that she should have chosen colors to show solidarity with Ukraine.

Actually, apparently a lot of folks saw brown and immediately thought fecal matter.

Yes, the Joe-Biden-dementia-diaper conspiracy theory just had to make its way into this too — conservative backlash over the questions raised about Donald Trump’s mental state and the stories from a former Celebrity Apprentice insider.

Also the generic attacks on the President.

Some folks don’t even seem to know what it is they don’t like about the brown suit.

That’s not all — there was even an all-caps rant, posted multiple times, suggesting that the brown suit was a signal of support of Nazi-like governmental tactics.

Are we supposed to believe it’s completely coincidence that so many conservatives has an issue with the tan suit worn by the first Black President, and now with a brown suit, when the first Black Vice President wears it?
