Dan Scavino Shares Cartoon Mocking Dr. Fauci

Dan Scavino, the Deputy Chief of Staff for the White House, posted a cartoon of Dr. Anthony Fauci on Facebook, furthering the Republicans’ new tactic of trying to discredit the epidemiologist who served under six Presidents.

Fauci, who hasn’t had an in-person meeting with Donald Trump since June 2nd, is depicted in the cartoon as “Dr. Faucet”, with comments floating in the water beneath him mocking the White House’s own safety guidelines for COVID19.

Scavino joins Chuck Woolery in the latest attempts to mislead the public with unverified claims to discredit Dr. Fauci. Even as the United States is breaking its own daily records of new Coronavirus cases, the Republicans are now focused on reopening schools and denying the extension of unemployment benefits.

Despite Donald Trump finally wearing a mask to a photo op at Walter Reed and the undeniable case numbers keeping some members of the GOP from attending the still-not-canceled GOP Convention in Jacksonville, Dr. Fauci is still being silenced by Trump’s White House as it continues to discredit him. However, the Trump Administration has yet to announce his firing, perhaps because they know the Biden campaign would hire him should he be let go from his position.
