Couple Wearing Swastika Masks Banned From Walmart
“I’m not a Nazi!” declares a woman in a Walmart checkout line. To meet the facial covering requirement, she’s wearing a red flag emblazoned with a swastika, tied around her head. “If you vote for Joe Biden you’re going to be living in Nazi Germany,” the shopper declares in a viral video. Now she and her less-vocal but also swastika-wearing shopping partner are banned from Walmart.
In Marshall, Minnesota, vicar Raphaela Mueller was shopping at Walmart when she spotted two other shoppers using Nazi flags as face masks. Mueller filmed, according to the Star Tribune, while shoppers confronted the couple. The swastika-bearers responded by showing their middle fingers and warning against supporting Joe Biden in the 2020 Presidential Election. One shopper can be heard on video saying that their grandfather killed Nazis. Then the women with the Nazi flag responds, “I’m not a Nazi. I’m trying to tell people what’s gonna happen to America.”
“You’re wearing a swastika,” a shopper off-camera points out.
As the video was being recorded, police were responding. The couple was served trespass notices — the form Walmart and other retailers can use to ban shoppers without having to press charges. A person served a trespass notice can be charged if they enter the premises again.
According to CBS Minnesota, Walmart also issued a public statement.
