Coronavirus Cases Rise As Trump Continues To Go after Obamacare

As cases of the Coronavirus continues to skyrocket President Trump continues to go after Obamacare. Despite the virus killing over 127,000 Americans Trump still wants the court to strike down the entire law which would leave millions of coronavirus victims without health insurance. Many Americans point out the fact that Trump refuses to take responsibility for his slow response to the virus and continues to blame others like Obama.

On Saturday Trump let off some tweets aimed at the former President and his signature policy. Trump tweeted,  “Obamacare is a joke! I will ALWAYS PROTECT PEOPLE WITH PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS!!!” The full tweet reads, ‘Obamacare is a joke! Deductible is far too high and the overall cost is ridiculous. My Administration has gone out of its way to manage OC much better than previous, but it is still no good. I will ALWAYS PROTECT PEOPLE WITH PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS,ALWAYS!!!”

He also tweeted, “Now that the very expensive, unpopular and unfair Individual Mandate provision has been terminated by us, many States & the U.S. are asking the Supreme Court that Obamacare itself be terminated so that it can be replaced with a FAR BETTER AND MUCH LESS EXPENSIVE ALTERNATIVE…..” Trump’s latest tweets about Obamacare comes after his administration brought their request to strike down the law to the Supreme Court. If the court strikes down the law it could mean that people with pre-existing conditions can be denied health coverage again. Obamacare made this denial illegal. Trump has always promised to help those with pre-existing conditions, however, many point to his actions going the other way.
