After weeks of relentless exposure from Democrats, the director of Project 2025 is leaving his post, it was reported Tuesday afternoon.
Kevin Roberts, the president of the Heritage Foundation, said in a statement that Paul Dans, who served in the Trump administration, is resigning after leading what they call "the transition initiative" for the past two years.
Roberts thanked Dans for his work on Project 2025 in a statement. "Under Paul Dans' leadership, Project 2025 has completed exactly what it set out to do: bringing together over 110 leading conservative organizations to create a unified conservative vision, motivated to devolve power from the unelected administrative state, and returning it to the people," Roberts said. "This tool was built for any future administration to use."
Dans said in an email to the press that "the initiative's work" is "presently winding down," and he will leave Heritage next month.
Yes, this would be the same Project 2025 Donald Trump pretended to know nothing about from the same Heritage Foundation that his running mate, JD "Hillbilly Effigy" Vance claimed to know nothing about.
Except here's Donald Trump shaking hands with Donald Trump. Maybe Trump thought he was the coffee boy?
And here's J DIVANce delivering a speech to the Heritage Foundation in 2022.
Project 2025 would essentially be The Handmaid's Tale, but with even worse uniforms because they won't have anyone fabulous to design them.
Trump's campaign released a statement Tuesday trying to keep their distance, claiming that Project 2025 "had nothing to do with the campaign, did not speak for the campaign, and should not be associated with the campaign or the president in any way."
Sure it doesn't.
Whoever replaces Dans will be just as weird and terrible.
