[COMMENTARY/WATCH] Kamala Harris Has Already Raised More Money Than Obama Did in 2008

When Kamala Harris was a DA in San Francisco, she was the first elected official to endorse Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois when he announced his historic candidacy for President in 2007.

Now-former President Barack Obama joined his wife, Michelle, in endorsing now-Vice President Harris in her own historic bid for the White House this week.

And now, Kamala Harris has already out-fundraised Obama's efforts for Hillary Clinton in 2016.

At the time, Obama raised a then-unheard-of $150 million.

VP Harris has raised over $200 million in her first week alone.

The enthusiasm for the still-new Harris for President campaign genuinely can't be understated. The mobilization which began a week ago with a Zoom call organized by Win With Black Women has spread to all other communities. A Zoom call with over 160,000 white women had raised nearly $9 million at press time.

White men are organizing their own call. MAGA is over, they just don't know it yet.

Over 170,000 volunteers signed up to help the Harris For President campaign with phone banking, canvassing, and other efforts as Election Day is just 100 days away.

Meanwhile, the flailing Trump-Vance campaign continues to rack up nothing but more embarrassment for the Republican Party.

Thanks to Trump's historically unpopular VP pick, along with his increasingly unhinged public performances--he recently just told a roomful of Christians that he's not a Christian, plus they'll never have to vote again after this year--Kamala has erased whatever lead he may have enjoyed over President Joe Biden.

The VP's unquestionable popularity continues to surge as Black women continue to be the backbone of the Harris campaign. CBS Sunday Morning profiled the Vice President and made the case for why America is more than ready for President Kamala Harris.
