[COMMENTARY] Twitter Drags Lindsey Graham For Spending Memorial Day In Israel

Remember back in 2018 when Rand Paul spent the July 4th holiday weekend in Moscow, hand-delivering a letter to Vladimir Putin on behalf of Donald Trump and hanging out with Russian Senators? Now Lindsey Graham has seemingly carried out another similar errand for the Former Guy on Memorial Day, just with a different location and a different Bad Actor.

Graham tweeted photos and videos of himself in Israel alongside Benjamin Netanyahu, the Trumpesque Prime Minster on the verge of being ousted by two opposing factions who are uniting to attempt to remove him from power. Why was Lindsey Graham in Israel on a most American holiday?

“No one has done more for Israel than you, Senator Lindsey Graham, stalwart champion of our alliance and we have no better friend,” Netanyahu told Graham. “You’ve been a tremendous friend and a tremendous ally.”

Graham shared several videos of himself touring areas damaged by the bombs traded between Israel and Hamas. Palestine suffered far more damage and loss, which neither man addressed when facing the cameras. Instead, Netanyahu continued praising Graham for the work he’s done on Israeli defense, security, and Iran. Graham returned the praise and essentially presented himself as a human Billboard for Bibi.

“The eyes and ears of America is [sic] Israel,” Graham said. “Nobody does more to protect America from radical Islam than our friends in Israel.” As he held up a sign that read, “More for Israel,” Graham asked, “So what can you expect, my friends in Israel, in the next coming days and weeks from Washington? More.”

Since Graham didn’t take the Memorial Day Holiday off or give the day the respect it deserves, Twitter didn’t take any time to drag #LapdogLindsey for once again choosing another country over America. Herewith, a collection of some of the better takes on Lindsey’s bad decision to become Bibi’s new Boo.
