[COMMENTARY] Tom Cotton: Full-On QAnon

The top Republican is Qrazy.

Senator Tom Cotton (Q-AR) thinks the Chinese government is going to harvest the DNA of American Olympic athletes to create “super soldiers” when they participate in the Winter Games in Beijing in early 2022. No, really, he not only thinks this, he actually put it in a letter to the President of the United States (the real one, not the guy in Jersey crying about not living in the White House anymore). And then he made it worse by standing on the Senate floor and said all of the same words out loud where other people could see and hear him, and that includes anyone watching the Senate proceedings on C-SPAN.

Cotton wrote President Joe Biden a letter demanding–demanding! Because Joe Biden really gives in to ultimatums from traitors– to know what “precautions” are being taken and how to “protect Americans” from being “harvested” by the Chinese.

HARVESTED. This must be the latest QAnon conspiracy to be thrown out there to distract people from all of the Trump criming, but it’s really one for the lunatic fringe.

“First, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) operates the world’s most invasive domestic surveillance system. Chinese authorities closely monitor internet traffic within the country and block and censor online information that the Party views as adverse to its grip on power,” the letter states.

Cotton is also worried about facial recognition, maybe because it’ll interfere with future Republican attempts to spy on Democrats and journalists. But for now, he thinks China conducted tests to develop “biologically-enhanced soldiers and intend to use DNA data to catapult Chinese biotechnology companies to global market dominance”.

Uh, okay Qrazy, whatever you say, you’re only in a position of too much power where other people can be influenced by you, nothing to worry about here. Cotton also displayed some casual racism and xenophobia by suggesting the Olympics be moved to a “Western democracy”.
