Super PAC Really American has released a new Donald Trump attack ad that focuses squarely on Donald Trump’s continued support of dangerous conspiracy theories that have often led to violent acts carried out by radicalized groups of Americans.
Really American highlights Trump’s support of Qanon, including a public endorsement Trump gave to a QAnon supporting candidate running for office.
The video further notes that Donald Trump has gone a step further, spreading his own baseless conspiracy theories about violent acts carried out by armed police officers. In one tweet, after an elderly man was attacked by police, Trump, without any proof, tweeted that the man, who was rushed to a nearby hospital, “could be an Antifa provocateur.”
As the video highlights, Donald Trump has outright refused to disavow radicalized groups on the right, while simultaneously spreading outright lies to his base of more than 63 million Twitter followers.
The video ends with the hashtag #ConspiracyTrump which reached the fifth spot on Twitter’s US trends.
