[COMMENTARY] QAnons Wonder If John Lennon and Tupac Will Materialize Along With JFK Jr At Trump’s AZ Rally

Yes, that headline is real. And no, I couldn’t write a straightforward news story about it, because it’s just too stupid to give it even a semblance of gravitas by treating it as a legitimate news story.

I understand the groupthink mentality of cults from a sociological standpoint, and my brain accepts their existence on an intellectual level. But that rational and New Jersey-influenced part of my brain wants to use every swear (and create new ones) at these people who find reality too hard to live in. I’m not exactly thrilled with living under pandemic conditions, and I sure didn’t love those four years of the Trump administration, but at no time did I think John F. Kennedy Jr. was hiding out in Pennsylvania awaiting the right moment to make his big return to politics and deus ex machina the heck out of the government.

WILKES BARRE, PA – AUGUST 02: David Reinert holds up a large “Q” sign while waiting in line to see President Donald J. Trump at his rally on August 2, 2018 at the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. “Q” represents QAnon, a conspiracy theory group that has been seen at recent rallies. Imagine what the planet would look like at whatever moment you’re reading this if only Donald Trump’s parents had been loving enough to teach him how to accept a loss. I’m not saying all of the Qrazy people wouldn’t exist, but they certainly wouldn’t be acknowledged by the rightful 45th President or anyone else in her administration as “very special people,” that’s for sure.

Trump can’t stop whining about losing the 2020 presidential election, so he’s going to have another rally in Arizona under the premise of endorsing a candidate, but it’s really about his ego being fortified by the crowds he misses so much. I can’t stress this enough: Trump DOES NOT CARE ABOUT PEOPLE. Trump cares about money. Trump will look you in the eye and smile at you while stealing your tip for the server off of the table after dinner. You’re paying his legal fees into the millions and he wouldn’t give you a nickel to do a scratch-off Lotto ticket. Trump would walk over the bodies of his kids to escape a burning building and then blame them for starting the fire. HE DOES NOT LOVE YOU. The “Great Awakening” should be you Qidiots realizing your Kool-Aid wasn’t magic Jesus Juice after all and finally going home already.

I’m not a trained mental health professional, so I’m only looking at this from a regular person’s perspective. I can’t help but be slightly fascinated as well as frustrated by how willfully obtuse the QAnons and other Trumpers are. They’ll twist themselves into pretzels, they’ll drink their own bodily fluids, but they won’t accept the basic rules of physics and science.

Why is it so hard to accept simple realities and truths? What does it hurt to believe dead people stay dead unless they’re in a Stephen King book or a zombie story. Why would you ever drink anything that’s already gone through you unless you’ve been stranded somewhere there’s no clean water source? And why can’t you just look at some math and say, “Oh, okay, I see how Joe Biden got more votes than Donald Trump. I don’t like it, but you can’t argue with math.”

I KNOW, I KNOW. But still, I want to stop living in this version of “Idiocracy” where stupidity is rewarded and smart people are ignored. It’s time to stop normalizing this cult and start calling them out for being the delusional Qidiots they are. And that includes the ones in Congress, too.
