[COMMENTARY] Old Tweet Resurfaces of JD Vance Checking Out Nazi Memorabilia

Historically unpopular GOP VP candidate and couch aficionado JD "Hillbilly Effigy" Vance just keeps getting buried alive on social media.

Screenshots are forever, as are the old tweets JD forgot to scrub in his cravenly ambitious attempts to be anointed by Donald Trump as his vice presidential stooge.

There's also a clip circulating where JDIVANce says women should stay with their abusive male partners. Related: has anyone done a welfare check on Usha Vance?  

While Vance--who once compared Trump to Hitler--tries to downplay the couch story that won't ever go away, he also needs to figure out how to explain why he's got a jones for Nazi memorabilia.

MeidasTouch and other Twitter influencers were sharing a screenshot from Vance's account datestamped 9/11/21 depicting Vance at a gun show and checking out the Reich Stuff.

What an odd place for someone to be on the 20th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks, huh? Seems kinda unpatriotic to me. 

Anyway, going to a gun show is fine, if that's a thing you like to do. I don't care, I just don't want anyone killing anyone with a gun or any other weapon, and I don't think that's too much to ask considering it's a societal agreement we're all supposed to live by. 

But lingering near the Hitler-y stuff isn't really the kind of photo op you want if you're considering a career in politics, which Hillbilly Effigy totally was back then, because he won his seat in 2022. 

It's just another example of no one at Trump HQ doing their due diligence to properly vet Shillbilly Settee Vedder.
