Combat Veteran Seth Moulton Says J.D. Vance Doesn't 'Uphold Marine Values'

During a recent appearance on the Pod Save America podcast, Seth Moulton ripped into fellow Marine veteran J.D. Vance.

Like Vance, Moulton spent time in the Marines. He enlisted in 2001 after graduating from Harvard University. The now Congressman would serve 4 tours in Iraq, leading infantry platoons. He began serving in the House of Representatives in January 2015.

During his time on the podcast, Moulton was asked about Vance, Donald Trump's new VP candidate and himself a former Marine. Moulton did not hold back on the Republican.

"He’s a Marine Corps veteran," the Massachusetts Congressman said. "I mean, a combat correspondent. He didn’t do much fighting and he doesn’t exactly uphold Marine values. In fact, not even close to it. I consider him one of the biggest hypocrites in Congress, someone who wrote a book, completely contradicted by his candidacy, someone who assailed Trump, before he became a sycophant."

Moulton continued by saying that Vance represented exactly what Donald Trump wanted from his Vice President; a non-threatening figure who wouldn't be willing to fight back. According to the Democrat, Mike Pence may have spoken out against Trump one too many times. Pence's time with Trump ended with the former President's supporters storming the Capitol chanting that they wanted to hang him.
