Colorado Officials, Others Want Boebert Investigated
Some Colorado officials have sent a letter to congressional leadership requesting a probe into freshman Rep. Lauren Boebert’s actions leading up to and on the day of the deadly riot at the U.S. Capitol, according to multiple reports.
Officials across Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District, which Boebert represents, raised “deep concern about her actions leading up to and during the protests that turned into a violent deadly mob.”
Boebert, whose personal Twitter account was “accidentally locked” after tweeting baseless and violent QAnon conspiracy theories, has faced backlash and calls to resign over tweeting out the location of lawmakers as the Capitol was being breached. Some GOP lawmakers voiced concerns over Boebert’s tweets in a heated call on Monday.
In the letter, which can be read in full here, the group says “Representative Boebert’s actions, including her statements on the floor immediately preceding the insurrection and her social media posts leading up to the riots, were irresponsible and reprehensible. The nation saw a direct attack on American democracy and the long-standing symbol of that democracy. Representative Boebert’s speech and tweets encouraged the mob mentality of her social media followers and the people who directly participated in the destructive violence that disrupted a lawful democratic process from taking place as scheduled.
“Three days prior, she took the oath to uphold the U.S. Constitution. Her recent behavior is in direct conflict with her responsibility as an elected official and we ask the leadership of the House of Representatives to thoroughly investigate her actions. We believe there is more than enough information to warrant an investigation and we ask that you follow through with any appropriate disciplinary actions.”

Boebert has been unnaturally fixated with Speaker Pelosi, often sharing videos from rightwing sources like Newsmax to her social media accounts. Sharp-eyed users are now also suggesting her mother, Shawn Bentz, aka Shawna Roberts-Bentz, was not only with her during the siege, but helped other insurrectionists at a time when they were planning their next moves.
Some people think it’s @RepBoebert’s mother & I wouldn’t be surprised, because she admitted that her daughter took her on a tour the day before, which wasn’t allowed #SqueakyBoebert pic.twitter.com/v0R3s9nDvA

It was also revealed that the Trump-supporting owners of the San Francisco Giants donated a total of $5600 to Boebert’s campaign, and Christine Pelosi, daughter of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (who was a target for the insurrectionists on January 6th and has been a frequent subject of Boebert’s on both her personal and government Twitter accounts) is demanding they ask for a refund of their donations.
SF Giants owner Charles Johnson refuses to disavow his support of far-right QAnon crackpot @RepBoebert, saying “It is often difficult to predict the future behavior of candidates”.
It’s not hard when they tell you up front who they are.

If Boebert’s mother was involved in the insurrection, both of them could face full punishment for sedition and treason, as well as participating in an assassination plot.
🚨 Former Shooters Grill waitress and registered Republican believes voice of #BullhornLady belongs to Lauren Boebert’s mom Shawna Bentz, who also works at Shooters Grill.
