During a recent CNN interview, Colorado's Governor Jared Polis had a hilarious response when asked if he would be willing to serve as Kamala Harris' running mate.
The Democrats have an impressive roster of governors serving in key states across the country. Many of those governors, including Polis, have been rumored to be in the running to serve alongside Harris.
Polis was a guest on Dana Bash's CNN show on Monday night and they pair talked about the launch of Harris' candidacy. The host couldn't resist but to ask Polis if he would consider the offer.
The Colorado governor began, "Well, Dana, we're not even there. I appreciate the question. I love the job I'm doing. I love Colorado. It's great. Obviously, if someone asks me, I would take a serious look at it. My phone hasn't rung yet."
Polis then continued, "Look, if they if they do the polling and it turns out that they need a 49-year-old, bald and gay Jew from Boulder, Colorado, they got my number."
Bash immediately broke out in laughter at Polis' attempt to deflect from the question with humor, telling her guest, "that was very funny." Watch a clip of the moment below, courtesy of CNN:
