Chuck Todd: Tim Walz is Like a Younger Version of Joe Biden [VIDEO]

During a morning spot on MSNBC, Chuck Todd described Kamala Harris's new running mate, Tim Walz, as a younger version of Joe Biden.

It wasn't that long ago that most voters weren't all that familiar with Tim Walz. He has come on as an important surrogate for Kamala Harris, however, and helped to create the "these guys are weird attack" that has worked so well against Donald Trump and J.D. Vance.

Todd sees another thing in Walz that he thinks will make Democrats happy, believing that the affable Minnesota Governor will remind them of Joe Biden.

The MSNBC pundit told Ana Cabrera:

"Walz and her I think sort of share the same — drive in the same lane. I don’t think either of them are Bernie Sanders progressives, but I don’t think either one of them are sort of Joe Manchin centrists either. There sort of where Joe Biden is really, and Tim Walz is a younger, in that sense, a younger version of Joe Biden, very much in the mainstream liberal lane of the party."

Todd continued by noting, "At the end of the day, it’s her pick and it does look to me like she picked someone that, number one, could defend her, number two, could articulate her vision and it’s hard to pick someone to articulate your vision if they don’t share your vision. And perhaps she didn’t think a Josh Shapiro would be as comfortable doing that as a Tim Walz."
