Chris Wallace Outlines Just How Badly The DNC is Beating the RNC in Ratings

During a Thursday spot on CNN, Chris Wallace took a shot at Donald Trump, noting that many more people were watching the Democratic National Convention than watched the Republican one.

Wallace has always had a bit of a contentious relationship with Trump. The newsman was long one of the only actual journalists on Fox News, and he didn't give Trump the same kind of free pass the other anchors on the show did.

During his appearance with Wolf Blitzer, the topic of ratings came up. "More than 20 million people watched," he said of day 2 of the DNC. "And by comparison, 14 million plus watched the Republican Convention on the second night. So, people are watching this convention, even though it’s going late."

The pundit continued:

" But you talk about the performances at this convention. One of the joys of being here during the day has been that we heard John Legend, who’s going to be performing later tonight. He was doing Prince. Let’s go crazy. You might say, why is he doing Prince? Because Prince was a Minnesota artist, and Tim Walz is the governor of Minnesota. Stevie Wonder, his performance with singers, and, I mean, with dancers, and that’s going to be great. And Maren Morris, the great country music star, was also performing."
