Chicago Hot Dog Stand Known For Crude Signage ‘Thanks’ Blago For Ordering Trump-Based Meal
A Chicago hot dog restaurant, known for putting up crude signage and for having employees who display a less-than-professional image in their customer interactions, has taken a tongue-in-cheek swipe at former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich.
The former governor had his prison sentence commuted by President Donald Trump last week.
The Lincoln Park-based hot dog stand, The Wiener’s Circle, commemorated Blagojevich’s release by putting up a sign that suggested he had ordered a certain type of hot dog — which is commonly used in a derogatory way to imply a sexual act.
“THX BLAGO FOR MAKING UR FIRST MEAL BACK A TRUMP FOOTLONG,” the sign read, according to reporting from NBC Chicago.

The company has used its sign to criticize Trump before, including during the period in time when the administration was separating thousands of migrant parents from their children after crossing the border in 2018.
“TINY HANDS, TINY WIENER, TINY HEART, FREE THE KIDS,” the sign read then.
Blagojevich was charged and convicted of having attempted to use a vacant U.S. Senate seat as leverage for himself from would-be appointees. Last week, during an interview with Anderson Cooper, Blagojevich suggested he had done nothing wrong, and that he was simply the victim of corrupt prosecutors.
That prompted a forthright response from Cooper, per prior reporting from HillReporter.com.
“[Y]ou do have an obligation to at least admit what you did wrong and you refuse to do that,” Cooper said, “and you’re creating a whole new alternate universe of facts and that may be big in politics today but it’s still frankly just bullsh*t.”
