Capitol Rioter Wanted To Hang Nancy Pelosi; Tells Judge Law Doesn’t Apply To Her Because Of God
According to witnesses and video, Pauline Bauer joined others in breaking into the U.S. Capitol Building, where she told police that if they didn’t bring Nancy Pelosi out to be hanged, they’d come in after her instead. Now she’s representing herself in court and has told a judge that the law doesn’t apply to her, citing Bible verses.
Alternet reports that Pauline Bauer has chosen to represent herself, and using a sovereign citizen defense. She says that she doesn’t recognize the laws of the United States, and that the Bible says she doesn’t have to.
In her court appearance, via Zoom, she stated, “I am here by special divine appearance, a living soul,” before adding, “I do not stand under the law. Under Genesis 1, God gave man dominion over the law.”
If that’s not enough, she has also reportedly threatened a court clerk with jail time (need it be emphasized that Bauer has no authority to confer jail time?) over processing filings, and has credited God and the Bible with freeing her from responsibility to law.
“I do not stand under the law. Under Genesis 1, God gave man dominion over the law.”
The Statement of Facts (PDF) in her case includes police body cam photos showing her confrontation with police, such as the one above.
The statement also includes transcripts of what she said in those videos, including the following:
“Bring Nancy Pelosi out here now. We want to hang that f***ing b*tch. Bring her out. We’re coming in if you don’t bring her out.”
