Capitol Confederate Flag Carrying Rioter Arrested
The domestic terrorists who stormed the U.S. Capitol last week at Donald Trump’s behest are some of the most photographed individuals on the planet and law enforcement authorities are getting tons of helping tracking them down. The latest of the rioters to be located and arrested is the man who was seen carrying the confederate flag inside the citadel of American democracy.
Kevin Seefried was arrested Thursday in Delaware on a federal warrant, according to police. He is the man in photo #30 of the bulletin put out by the FBI seeking the public’s help in locating rioters. Federal agents have received more than 125,000 photo and video tips this week and are working around the clock to compare that information with airlines’ passenger manifests, social media postings and other online records to find suspects.
Seefried is the latest of the individuals to be captured who are in the now iconic images from the Jan. 6 riot.
A Wisconsin man who breached the U.S. Capitol along with other insurrectionists was apprehended Wednesday after he posted on Facebook that he was part of the violent mob. “I’m wanted!” Kevin Daniel Loftus posted on a thread about the insurrection.
Robert Packer, seen in the Capitol wearing a shirt with the words “Camp Auschwitz” on it, was arrested Wednesday in Virginia. Self-appointed “QAnon Shaman,” Jake Angeli (real name: Jacob Chansley), was taken into custody last Saturday.
Federal agents have made additional arrests in New York, Maryland, Texas and Florida and more are expected in the coming days.
