Campaign Selling Trump Straws for $1.50 Each
When politicians are running campaigns for a second time, it may behoove them to get creative with their merchandise. Donald Trump’s Make America Great Again hats were wildly successful for him. According to campaign manager, Brad Parscale, over one million hats were sold drawing in around $45 million.
Trump and his surrogates have come up with a new item meant to draw funds and tweak liberals at the same time. The campaign is now selling a box of 10 Trump straws at a cost of $15.00 each.
Parscale revealed the item on his Twitter page earlier this week, writing, “Make straws great again.” He followed up with another post, writing, “I’m so over paper straws. #LiberalProgress This is exactly what they would do to the economy as well. Squeeze it until it doesn’t work.”

Trump’s campaign website also connected Liberals to plastic straws. The site reads, “Liberal paper straws don’t work. STAND WITH PRESIDENT TRUMP and buy your pack of recyclable straws today.”
The president himself was asked this week how he feels about the campaign selling the items. He told reporters, “I do think we have bigger problems than plastic straws. You have a little straw, but what about the plates, the wrappers and everything else that are much bigger and they’re made of the same material?”
One thing that did draws eyes to the promotion is the sheer cost of the Trump straws. These are being sold at $1.50 each. A pack of 200 straws can currently be bought on Amazon for around $7 or $8.
