Buttigieg Responds to Limbaugh’s Bigoted Criticisms
During this years State of the Union Address, Donald Trump awarded the National Medal of Freedom to Rush Limbaugh. A number of Americans were appalled as the radio host’s career has been littered with racists and misogynistic comments.

If anyone though Limbaugh might tone down his act following the award, they thought wrong. Days after the honor, the radio host made offensive comments about Buttigieg, suggesting he couldn’t match up to “real man” Trump. Today on Fox News, the South Bend Mayor responded to Limbaugh bashing the pundit in the process.
The radio host had said of the 2020 Democratic hopeful, “They’re looking at Mayor Pete, 37-year-old gay guy, mayor of South Bend, loves to kiss his husband on the debate stage. And they’re saying, ‘OK, how’s this going to look, 37-year-old gay guy kissing his husband onstage next to Mr. Man Donald Trump? What’s going to happen there?”
Buttigieg responded to Limbaugh’s critiques during an appearance on CNN’s State of the Union. “Well, I love my husband. I’m faithful to my husband,” Buttigieg said “I’m proud of my husband. “And I’m not going to be lectured on family values from the likes of Rush Limbaugh or anybody who supports Donald J. Trump as the moral as well as political leader of the United States.”
