Breaking: Twitter Suspends Trump Jr. for Posting Harmful Covid-19 Information

Twitter was criticized for many years for allowing Donald Trump to repeatedly skirt the site’s terms and conditions. This privilege seemed to extend to his family as well. But in late April, the site began to fact check the President when he made obviously false claims.

Still, Twitter has never been willing to suspend or even ban the President’s account. Seemingly, though, they are ready to take action against his family. After he shared a video featuring dangerous Covid-19 information, Donald Trump Jr. was suspended by the website.

In the video, Dr. Stella Immanuel claimed that masks and social distancing won’t help against the pandemic. She also heavily promoted the use of hydroxychloroquine. Facebook removed the video for it’s site.

And now Twitter is taking action on Trump Jr. for sharing the post.

Republican campaign strategist Andrew Surabian tweeted, “Twitter and Jack Dorsey have suspended Donald Trump Jr. for or posting a viral video of medical doctors talking about Hydroxychloroquine. Big Tech is the biggest threat to free expression in America today & they’re continuing to engage in open election interference – full stop.”

Neither the White House or Donald Trump Jr. have commented on his suspension from the social media site.
