New York State’s Civil Probe into the Trump Organization is heating up. Trump’s children, Don Jr. and Ivanka were recently subpoenaed by the court. They are both fighting the subpoenas through their legal teams.

Now Attorney General Letitia James is turning up the heat. Last night, she filed a court motion seeking to force Ivanka and Don Jr., along with the former President to testify.
James wrote in a statement, “Since 2017, Donald Trump, Jr. has had authority over numerous financial statements containing misleading asset valuations.”
The statement continued:
“Thus far in our investigation, we have uncovered significant evidence that suggests Donald J. Trump and the Trump Organization falsely and fraudulently valued multiple assets and misrepresented those values to financial institutions for economic benefit. The Trumps must comply with our lawful subpoenas for documents and testimony because no one in this country can pick and choose if and how the law applies to them.”
We are taking legal action to force Donald Trump, Donald Trump, Jr., and Ivanka Trump to comply with our investigation into the Trump Organization’s financial dealings.
No one in this country can pick and choose if and how the law applies to them.

The case James is referring to is the Civil case against the Trumps. New York’s criminal case against Trump is currently in the hands of newly elected Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. Bragg recently took over the position and the criminal case from Cy Vance.
James noted in her statement that her office, “has not yet reached a final decision regarding whether this evidence merits legal action.”
