Moments ago the Special Counsel filed an 800-page sentencing memorandum for former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort. Below you will find the 25-page summary.
The full 800 page document (which includes multiple attachments related to his work in Ukraine as well as other sensitive material) has yet to be publicly uploaded and is said to be heavily redacted as well. This memo is related to charges of conspiracy to defraud the U.S., failing to register as a foreign agent, money laundering, witness tampering and making false statements, which Manafort reached a plea deal on in a DC court last year. A key line from the memo reads:
“Based on his relevant sentencing conduct, Manafort presents many aggravating sentencing factors and no warranted mitigating factors.”
Of note is the fact that the memo did not take a position on how much prison time Manafort should receive, or if his sentence should stack on top of his future sentence in the Virginia case.
We will update this story once any additional documentation is available.
