Bobbi Kristina Brown Moved to Hospice Care

Whitney Houston‘s daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, has been moved to a hospice care facility near her home in Roswell, Georgia, just outside Atlanta. The 22 year-old has failed to regain her health after being found unresponsive, face down in her bathtub on January 31. While the details of the incident remain unclear, it has been rumored that Brown’s boyfriend Nick Gordon had violently assaulted her hours previously. Gordon is currently facing a lawsuit. Meanwhile, five months later, young Bobbi Brown’s condition continues to deteriorate.

The incident has chilled family, friends, and fans alike, especially in light of the death of Brown’s mother, Whitney Houston, in 2012. Houston was found dead in a bathtub in a hotel in Beverly Hills, California. The official autopsy report showed that Houston had accidentally drowned, and that cocaine use and heart disease were both contributing factors in the death.

After Houston died, her daughter Bobbi inherited the pop, soul, and gospel music legend’s entire estate, including cars, clothes, personal effects, and furniture. Brown was also provided with trust fund payments, where are awarded to her in installments until she reaches the age of 30, at which point Brown will receive the remainder of the $115 million estate.

Brown has been in a coma since Gordon, a longtime family friend and current boyfriend who lives with Brown at her residence, assaulted her. Her family has declined to comment on rumors that the girl is brain-damaged. Details of the situation remain unclear, due to conflicting media reports. Some media outlets have been reporting that the coma was caused by a car accident.

A criminal investigation has been opened, and Nick Gordon is currently facing a $10 million lawsuit, which was filed by Bedelia Hargrove, the court-appointed conservator of Whitney Houston’s daughter. The lawsuit also claims that Gordon has stolen thousands of dollars from the girl since she has been in a coma. Gordon has declined to comment.

“As of today, she has been moved into hospice care,” Brown’s aunt and administrator of the girl’s sizable trust fund, Pat Houston said in a statement to the press. “We thank everyone for their support and prayers.”

“I’m just waiting for whatever happens,” said Brown’s grandmother, Cissy Houston. “We go to the hospital every day and pray and I talk to her because she can still hear and I rub her hand. We do what we can do.” Brown’s father, Bobby Brown, who was divorced from Whitney Houston in 2006, is reported to have also been holding a near-constant bedside vigil.
