Kyle Rittenhouse, who was recently found not guilty on all charges, is now being made a celebrity by the Right. The most extreme congresspeople, not surprisingly, want to hire him as an intern.
And since the verdict was announced, the teen has frequently appeared on right-wing media. His most recent interview was with The Blaze. During that spot, he told hosts maybe he should have never made the trip.
“Hindsight being 20/20,” Rittenhouse told the hosts, “probably not the best idea to go down there. Can’t change that, but I defended myself and that’s what happened.”
The teen continued, “Everyone should be able to defend themselves. I think it’s a God-given right, the right to self-defense. That’s what was on trial in Wisconsin, the right to self-defense.”
The ‘vigilante”s mother, Wendy, recently made a similar argument. She told CBS, “If he had to do it all over again, he probably would not go down to Kenosha. Kyle’s nature is to help people.”
