Belarusian Escort Nastya Rybka Says Russian Security Ordered Her to Stop Discussing Russian Meddling in US Election
Anastasia Vashukevich, also known as Nastya Rybka, has been in the news since March of 2018. The Belarusian escort claimed to have tapes proving that Russian oligarch, Oleg Deripaska, interfered with the 2016 US election.
She was arrested in Thailand and offered to help the Mueller Investigation team if she was offered asylum. She later reneged on the deal and was deported from Thailand and detained in Moscow. Rybka is now telling CNN about her experiences with the Russian government and how they attempted to silence her.
When Rybka was sent back to Russia rather than her home country of Belarus, many feared for her safety. The self-described sex coach told CNN that, “media coverage of the story saved her life.”
On her Instagram account, Rybka claims to be a mistress to Oleg Deripaska, a close confidant of Vladimir Putin. She claims this access to Deripaska allowed her to tape conversations where he discussed Russian efforts to affect the US election.
She now says that Russian security has ordered her to stay quiet. “I had some talk when I was in Russian jail. And they explained to me very clear(ly) what should I do, what should I say and what I shouldn’t say.”
Deripaska appeared in the US news late last week for another reason. Sanctions were lifted against the oligarch’s aluminum company, Rusal. While sanctions remain on Deripaska personally, the White House felt his company should not be punished. Treasury Secretary claimed the sanctions were meant to change the oligarch’s behavior, not to put Rusal out of business.
