Banned From Sharing COVID-19 Disinfo On Twitter, Marjorie Greene Declares Gvmt Guilty Of Murder For Ivermectin Denial

Marjorie Taylor Greene can no longer share COVID-19 disinformation on Twitter, thanks to her permanent ban received for a pattern of doing exactly that, but there’s nothing stopping her from offering up her most extreme theories and ideas on other platforms.

The latest one is a claim that the U.S. Government is committing murder by failing to facilitate the use of Ivermectin, an antiparasite drug, as off-label treatment of COVID-19. Greene posted this on Gab, boasting that she bought the drug over-the-counter, which she says can be done in other countries but is blocked in the U.S. (She doesn’t say where she was when she bought hers.) She also asserts that Ivermectin combined with monoclonal antibodies is a ‘cure’ for COVID-19, and declared the government guilty of murder for blocking it.

“In foreign countries, you can walk in a pharmacy and buy Ivermectin over the counter without a prescription like I did, and it has saved many lives.

In America, the FDA tells pharmacies not to fill Ivermectin prescriptions if it’s prescribed for covid, stopping sick people from taking a well known cheap safe effective drug that saves lives.

The media makes fun of people for wanting to take it, calls it horse wormer, & reported fake stories about hospitals overflowing with people overdosing on veterinary type Ivermectin.

But the government can’t mandate a vaccine if there are treatments for covid, and early treatment of Ivermectin and monoclonal antibodies is a CURE in most cases.

Withholding these treatments is murder, and I believe the government is responsible.”

The FDA has released a statement explaining that Ivermectin has not been shown to be effective in treating COVID-19, and MedPage Today reported last summer when the study that was often cited as support for the antiparasitic as a COVID-19 treatment was pulled, due to problems with the data.

These problems include listing patients (a full third of the claimed test group) as part of the dataset who were already dead before the study was ever approved, and naming as subjects individuals who were already hospitalized before the ‘randomized’ group was picked, explains epidemiologist Gideon Meyerowitz-Katz.

“For example, the study reports getting ethical approval and beginning on the 8th of June, 2020, but in the data file uploaded by the authors onto the website of the preprint fully 1/3 of the people who died from COVID-19 were already dead when the researchers started to recruit their patients…Moreover, about 25% of the entire group of patients who were recruited for this supposedly prospective randomized trial appear to have been hospitalized before the study even started, which is either a mind-boggling breach of ethics or a very bad sign of potential fraud.”

With no evidence supporting the use of Ivermectin against the virus, Greene’s unsolicited medical advice, doled out without any license to practice, and her accusation against the United States, all used to back an anti-vax narrative, would likely have been deleted from a platform with stricter rules.
