Canadian singer Avril Lavigne may be best-known for her 2002 hit single, “Complicated,” but she’s got much more to offer than a good voice and a punky vibe. Though a lot of Lavigne’s life has been put on display in the public eye, there are still some things that many people don’t know about her. Number Fifteen: Nirvana Is Her Favorite Band. Lavigne admitted that, for her, Nirvana is “up there” in terms of her favorite band. And who can blame her?
Number Fourteen: She Wants a Teacup Dog. Lavigne admitted on Twitter that she really wants a teacup dog. She says she wants a teacup dog more than any other kind of dog.
Number Thirteen: She Loved Shooting the Video for “Complicated.” When asked which video she enjoyed shooting most, Lavigne said that she had the most fun shooting “Complicated.” She said she enjoyed it the most because it was the first video she ever shot, and there were a lot of scenes.
Number Twelve: She Has Good Taste in Television. Well, depending on your tastes, that is. Lavigne says that her favorite shows currently on television are Orange Is The New Black and Downton Abbey. Conveniently, the new season of Downton Abbey premieres in January of this year.
Number Eleven: She Loves Pizza. Though Lavigne could probably buy whatever food she wants, she has said that her favorite food is pizza. She said that if she had to eat one food for the rest of her life, it would definitely be pizza.
Number Ten: She Admired Her Older Brother. When asked who Lavigne looks up to, she said the person she admires most is her older brother. She admires him because “he’s a good, honest person and a hard worker and a genius.” Aw!
Number Nine: She Likes Sneaker Heels. When asked whether she likes sneakers, heels, or sneaker heels the most, Lavigne admitted that she is really into sneaker heels. Lavigne designs clothing for her line, called Abbey Dawn.
