AUDIO: Listen To Threatening Voicemail Left For Capitol Insurrection Victim After Testimony

On Tuesday, Officer Michael Fanone testified before a House Committee. He told of the day that Trump supporters, trying to force Congress to overturn the election outcome, beat him until he lost consciousness. After recounting and reliving his trauma before an audience, including a replay of a portion of his body camera from that day, he was treated to a new attack, in the form of a threatening voicemail.

WASHINGTON, DC – JULY 27: US Capitol Police Sgt. Aquilino Gonell, Washington Metropolitan Police Department officer Michael Fanone, US Capitol Police Sgt. Harry Dunn and Washington Metropolitan Police Department officer Daniel Hodges pose for a photo following the House Select Committee investigating the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol on July 27, 2021 at the Cannon House Office Building in Washington, DC. Members of law enforcement testified about the attack by supporters of former President Donald Trump on the U.S. Capitol. According to authorities, about 140 police officers were injured when they were trampled, had objects thrown at them, and sprayed with chemical irritants during the insurrection. The clip below is ugly. It includes vulgarity, an anti-gay slur, racist rhetoric, as well as a wish that the Capitol rioters had done even worse and not allowed Officer Fanone to escape with his life. Please listen with caution.

“You want an Emmy, an Oscar, what are you trying to go for here? You’re so full of s**t you little f****t f***er. You’re a little p***y man. I could slap you upside of the head with a backhand and knock you out you little f*****. You’re a punk f** and you’re a lying f***. How about all the [inaudible] Black scum for two years destroying our cities and burning them…I wish they would’ve killed all you scumbags…They stole the election from Trump and you know that you scumbag…too bad they didn’t beat the s*** out of you more.”

As mentioned, Fanone testified that analysis of his body camera concluded that he lost consciousness for several minutes, and that rioters were trying to take his gun while others in the crowd shouted for someone to kill Fanone with his own weapon.
