When Donald Trump took office, he placed his sons Don Jr. and Eric in charge of his businesses. He brought his favorite child, Ivanka, into the White House as an adviser. He also put his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, in charge of a number of different projects.

Joe Biden not only has adult children, he also has adult grandchildren. And while they will be there to celebrate with the president-elect tomorrow, you won’t be seeing much of them. During an interview with Today, daughter Ashley Biden promised that she would have no role in the administration.
“I will, however, hopefully use this platform to advocate for social justice, for mental health, to be involved in community development and revitalization,” said the 39 year-old social worker. “I do hope to bring awareness and education to some topics, subjects that are really important.”
During the interview, Ashley Biden also discussed the behavior of Melania Trump. The current First Lady will be breaking decades of tradition by not welcoming Jill Biden into the White House. The social worker told Jenna Bush Hager, “No, I don’t think they’re doing the traditional protocol, which is unfortunate, but I think we’re all OK with it.”
