The big day has finally arrived for singer Ashlee Simpson and her husband, The Hunger Games actor, Evan Ross.  Last night the couple welcomed their first child together, a daughter whose name has yet to be revealed; though of the name Ross promises “Yeah, it’s unique.  You guys will figure out the story behind it once we tell the name.”  The two married in late August of last year and have since been in marital bliss, according to Ross.  It was revealed to E! News that the couple’s entire family was in attendance to support them during this joyous occasion and that Ross was very excited and emotional during the birth.  According to these same sources, the “Boyfriend” singer “is doing great and can’t wait to get home to be with her family.”

Though Simpson is not inexperienced in the mothering department, she has a six year old son with ex-husband and Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz, she has admitted that it feels different this time around.  “I think that no matter what, with every child it’s different. It feels new to me too, and it’s been six years, so I’m like, ‘Here we go! We gotta learn how to get the swaddle on again!’”  A feeling Wentz mirrored in a letter he penned to his sons for Time Magazine, “Saint: when you came along, I was sure I was prepared. I had my plan. I was the diaper-in-the-back-pocket dad. Spoiler alert: I was not prepared at all. You arrived like a little zen master, but even though I wasn’t the rookie anymore, you let me know there will always be curveballs.”

Fall Out Boy, who are currently on the road with Wiz Khalifa for the Boys of Zummer tour, have been announced as part of the iHeart Radio Music Festival lineup.  The festival is being held in Las Vegas on September 18th and 19th and makes this its fifth year.  Tickets for the festival, whose lineup includes Kanye West; Tove Lo; The Killers; Hozier; Demi Lovato; Janet Jackson; Nick Jonas; and many more, are available for purchase August 1st.  iHeartMedia’s President of Entertainment Enterprises, John Sykes, has revealed that the concert will be available to just about everyone, despite the festival’s location.  While the show itself will take place at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino, it will be livestreamed through YahooScreen, broadcast live on iHeartMedia radio stations, and aired on The CW during a two night special towards the end of September.
