As a Descendent of Legal Immigrants, Ann Coulter Attacks ‘LEGAL Immigrants’
Ann Coulter has made a lot of headlines as of late, particularly because of her apparent ability to affect the actions of President Donald Trump. You may recall that Trump seemed ready to sign a government funding bill that had been agreed to by both Republicans and Democrats alike, until Coulter publicly attacked him, and he changed his mind.
Coulter, for those of you who are unaware, is a hardliner when it comes to both legal and illegal immigration. Those on the left have called her everything from a bigot, to a racist, and even much worse, but she persists with her attacks on immigrants.
Early this morning, Coulter made a tweet which directly attacked ‘LEGAL immigrants’.
Don’t we all love LEGAL immigrants?! https://t.co/zl9NHbQqda

The problem with this, however, is the fact that Ann Coulter’s own ancestors immigrated to America. In fact, all eight of her great-great-grandparents on her paternal side came to America from Europe.
Coulter has been called out on this very fact many times in the past, yet she still continues her attack of the very ideology that allowed her ancestors to become U.S. citizens. Coulter is not a Native American, but she claims that she is a “settler”.
In an interview back in 2017 on The View, Coulter explained, “I’m a settler. I’m descended from settlers. Not from immigrants … I’m not living in the Cherokee Nation. I’m living in America, which was created by settlers, not immigrants.”
Even if you were to differentiate colonial settlers from legal immigrants, only Coulter’s maternal side of the family actually dates back to colonial times.
