Are You a Writer? We Want You!
Would you like to write for HillReporter.com?
Hi, I’m Brett Gilman, Managing Editor of hillreporter.com. First of all, thank you for your continued readership and support. Like everyone else in the United States, the staff at HR is still under lockdown and hoping for that next shipment of toilet paper. All joking aside, all of us at hillreporter.com have been working hard to continue bringing you the best news stories we can find at a time when people are hungrier for information than ever. It is because of your ongoing support, and the public’s need for more information, that hillreporter.com is happy to announce we are now taking applications for the position of Staff Writer.
Hillreporter is an independently owned liberal news publisher, and Google News Partner. Our mission is to deliver factually correct news stories that resonate with a progressive demographic. We scour the web to report on breaking political stories that speak to the current political climate in the United States. We are a liberal, open-minded and tolerant team of writers. The news we choose to cover is undeniably on the left side of the fence.
If you’re an experienced freelance news writer, we currently have an opening for a staff news writer to cover current and breaking news. All applicants must have:
-The ability to write, title, and edit their copy.
-An understanding of the WordPress publication system.
-Experience with digital publishing.
All positions are paid for articles published on a freelance basis. This is a high pace content writing environment, which requires impeccable verbal and written communication skills. As this is a live services work environment, new content is being developed daily. It is therefore essential for Writers to work well in fast-paced environments that are subject to last-minute changes and pivots.
Please include with your email a resume, links to published work, and brief bio. Include a writing sample if you have no published work.
Minorities, women, and alternately-abled individuals are strongly encouraged to apply for these freelance positions by sending an email to me: firstname.lastname@example.org
Please send me your stuff! I can’t wait to hear from you.
