Ann Coulter Rants On Twitter, Calls National Emergency A ‘Scam’

Ann Coulter had harsh words for Donald Trump and his supporters Friday morning. The conservative political commentator and author tweeted that the national emergency was meant to “scam the stupidest people in his base.”

Coulter used to be a confidant of Trump, but she turned against him last month after he chose to reopen the government without any border funds. Friday’s tweet was in response to Daniel Horowitz, the senior editor of Conservative Review.

The conservative commentator added in another tweet that the goal is to get Trump’s stupidest voters to say, “HE’S FIGHTING!’ No, he’s not. If he signs this bill, it’s over.”

Earlier this month, Ann Coulter predicted that Trump would go ahead with his national emergency declaration. In an interview on the podcast Skullduggery, Coulter commented, “I think he’s finally going to pull that pocket Constitution out of his lapel pocket and, ‘Oh my gosh, I’m the president. This is great.’ ”

Coulter believes the bill and national emergency are a scam, because “It’s like signing a confession – then immediately appealing it.”

President Trump signed the bill Friday and immediately declared a national emergency to pull $6.3 billion out of other funds for the wall construction.
