Angelina Jolie is constantly in the news for something. Whether it’s for the work she does for kids in third world countries, her latest flick or her latest wardrobe choice, she is a woman to be noticed. Despite her perpetual presence in the media, there are some interesting facts about the actor and philanthropist’s life that very few people are aware of. Number Fifteen: Both of Her Parents Were Actors. The starlet was born into the industry! Her parents are actors Jon Voight and Marcheline Bertrand.

Number Fourteen: She Had a Really Great Acting Coach. Jolie studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute starting from the age of 11. Strasberg is regarded as one of the best acting coaches. He trained James Dean, Dustin Hoffman, and Al Pacino.

Number Thirteen: She Had Low Self-Esteem Growing Up. Though Jolie began modeling at the age of 16, she also had self-esteem issues that led to drug use and self-harm.

Number Twelve: She Is in a Meat Loaf Music Video. In 1993, Jolie was featured in Meat Loaf’s music video for “Rock’N’Roll Dreams Come Through.” She can also be found in The Rolling Stones’ music video for “Anybody Seen My Baby?”.

Number Eleven: She Has an Interesting Connection to Slash. When Jolie was married to Billy Bob Thornton, they moved into a home in Beverly Hills that had previously been owned by Slash, who is the guitarist for Guns N’ Roses.

Number Ten: She Has a Gifted Godmother. Jolie’s godmother is Jacqueline Bisset. However, the two actresses are reportedly not very close. Bisset has said, “Unfortunately, I haven’t developed a close relationship with Angelina. I see her rarely, but I’m very admiring of her.”

Number Nine: She Had Some Strange Childhood Crushes. Growing up, Jolie had crushes on Spock (of Star Trek) and Anthony Perkins (of Psycho). On an episode of The Daily Show With Jon Stewart, Jolie said of Spock, “He was so repressed, and you just wanted to make him scream.”
